BOMCAS Canada is a Canadian-owned and Canadian-operated accounting firm headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta. We provide professional accounting, tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, and business advisory services to individuals, self-employed professionals, contractors, small businesses, Canadian-controlled private corporations, and not-for-profit organizations across every Canadian province and territory.

The firm was built around a simple idea: the average Canadian small business owner does not want hourly billing, surprise invoices, voicemail loops, or a different junior accountant every year. Fixed-fee transparency

Almost all of our engagements are billed at a fixed monthly fee or a fixed per-project fee. You sign an engagement letter that states exactly what is in scope and what you will pay. No surprise hourly invoices for routine work. The only time we use hourly billing is for truly unpredictable items such as CRA audit defence, complex CRA Appeals, or specialized one-off projects, and even then we agree to a maximum cap before starting.

Virtual delivery, real relationships

BOMCAS Canada operates as a fully virtual firm. Documents flow through an encrypted client portal with multi-factor authentication. Meetings happen by video conference or phone. Engagement letters, CRA authorizations, and tax returns are e-signed. There is no driving downtown, no parking, no scanning at a print shop, no paper trail to lose. Clients report that the virtual model feels more personal, not less — because instead of half-hour office visits twice a year, they get a real ongoing conversation by email, phone, and video throughout the year.

Canadian-only tax expertise

BOMCAS Canada does not do US-only tax, UK tax, EU tax, or any other foreign jurisdiction in isolation. We are a Canadian tax firm. Our values

BOMCAS Canada operates on four principles:

  1. Tell the truth. If something is going to cost more, take longer, or generate a CRA review, we say so up front. If a tax position is aggressive, we say so. If a deduction will not survive a CRA review, we say so.
  2. Bill what we said we would bill. No surprise invoices. No "scope creep" billing. If something legitimately changes scope, we discuss it and re-quote before doing the work.
  3. Answer the phone. Voicemail and email backlogs are a sign of an over-loaded firm. We staff to a one-business-day response standard and protect it.
  4. Specialize. The Canadian tax and accounting field is too complex to be a generalist. We are Canadian. We are small business and personal. We specialize in industries where we have real depth.
